Wishful Thinking

I just completed my application to be chosen by Discovery for a Student Discovery Adventure to CHINA! What a dream that would be! If selected, I would travel with four students along with other educators and their students to China the first two weeks in August. There are many people that will want to be chosen and who are very qualified as DEN members so my odds may be slim. But that is what would make being chosen a dream. Better yet, it would be all expenses paid! As I filled out the application, I felt that there were many reasons that might suggest I would be a good candidate. I have been an active member since 2006 and I have been forward thinking in including technology into my classroom activities. This crosses the line between day dreaming and wishful thinking. It would be the opportunity of a lifetime and I am going to have a difficult time waiting until April when the selection of candidates is made. Wish me luck; wish my students luck.
